Two suspects linked to the shooting death of an Illinois police officer have both been arrested.
On Wednesday, a veteran police officer Sgt. Marlene Rittmanic, 49, and her partner Officer Tyler Bailey, 27, were ambushed and shot while responding to a noise complaint of two unattended dogs at a Comfort Inn motel in Kankakee County, just south of Chicago. Rittmanic was killed, while her partner remains in critical condition.
A manhunt for the suspects involved in the shooting led police to cross state lines into Indiana, where suspect Darius Sullivan, 25, the alleged gunman, was arrested without incident on Friday morning.

Police also took 19-year-old Daniel Acros into custody from the Indiana home, where police confiscated weapons and drugs at the scene.
The second suspect linked to the shooting murder, Xandria Harris, 26, surrendered to police in Bradley, Illinois at 4pm on Friday. Police say that arrangements are being made for Sullivan to be extradited to Illinois to face charges of murder and attempted murder, FOX 32 reported.
In addition to the 19-year-old, two additional people have been arrested in Indiana in connection to the case. Police identified them as 20-year-old Bryce Baker and 26-year-old Joshua Adams, both from Kankakee, Illinois. Police arrested them after authorities looking for Sullivan spotted them driving in the wrong direction in Rochester, Indiana.
Police are currently investigating a possible connection between the individuals and the alleged shooter, Sullivan.
