Antifa’s Saturday night protest in Portland quickly turned into a violent riot as they marched along Portland’s Pearl District, where they vandalized businesses and mobbed police officers.

Antifa organized Saturday night’s protest to ‘abolish deportations’ openly on Twitter earlier in the week, calling it a ‘direct action’ while encouraging participants to dress in black and “be water.”

The group met around 8pm at The Fields Park in Portland’s Pearl District.

Shortly after meeting at the park, the well organized group of Antifa started marching and quickly began to destroy property, a criminal act.

The group dressed in their militant black bloc uniform marched along smashing windows to businesses; including a Chipotle Mexican Grill.

Antifa also smashed out windows to a Starbucks and a Bank (not specified). Antifa frequently targets both businesses during their riots.

Antifa militants continued to commit criminal acts of property damage throughout the direct action.

After spotting a security vehicle, the group targeted it and smashed out the vehicle's windows.

Portland Police Department gave dispersal orders to the group after community members called to report the destruction, as well as, witnessing Antifa’s criminal behavior themselves.

“To those marching in the Pearl District: Officers have observed and community members have reported members of this group have damaged buildings in the Pearl District. Immediately stop participating in criminal behavior including damaging property,” Portland Police demanded on Twitter.

Using loudspeakers, Portland Police issued a warning to the group to stop participating in criminal activity.

“Failure to adhere to this order may subject perpetrators to detention, citation, arrest, or use of crowd control agents, including, but not limited to, tear gas and/or impact weapons,” said the Portland Police Department. “Immediately stop participating in criminal activity.”

After Portland Police issued warnings to disperse, Antifa swarmed and mobbed a bike officer who was responding to the riot.

“Get the f*ck out of here,” said Antifa as they attempted to mob the Portland police officer. “This is native land.”

Shortly after the dispersal orders were announced, the majority of the group dispersed with the exception of a few participants who began to riot at an ICE Detention Facility where they littered trash after knocking down trash cans.

As detailed on social media, multiple businesses in the area boarded up their storefronts in the middle of the night after Antifa attacked businesses in Portland's Pearl District at their pre-planned riot.

Portland Police arrested multiple members of Antifa during Saturday night’s riot.
