Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has denied she ever said Senator Ted Cruz almost had her killed despite a tweet in which she says just that. Interviewed on the street by The New York Post, the Democratic Socialist said, "Yeah, so that's not the quote and I will not apologize for what I said."
On January 28 however, she tweeted out the following, "...you almost had me murdered 3 weeks ago so you can sit this one out."
I am happy to work with Republicans on this issue where there’s common ground, but you almost had me murdered 3 weeks ago so you can sit this one out.

Happy to work w/ almost any other GOP that aren’t trying to get me killed.
In the meantime if you want to help, you can resign. https://t.co/4mVREbaqqm
The live response she gave can be seen below. Following her dismissal, AOC is waved away by a staffer and swiftly leaves the press area.

Senator Ted Cruz denies any involvement in trying to have the Congresswoman murdered. Furthermore, it is now known that AOC was in fact not even in any remote danger on the January 6 insurrection, as she was in another building entirely.
Nonetheless, she claims her life was in danger in her tweets. "You haven’t even apologized for the serious physical + mental harm you contributed to from Capitol Police & custodial workers to your own fellow members of Congress," said AOC in a directed tweet to Cruz.

In the meantime, you can get off my timeline & stop clout-chasing. Thanks.
Happy to work with other GOP on this.
