Toronto police have arrested a man in connection with a drive-by shooting that saw the death of one and hospitalization of four others.

The shooting took place on July 10 of this year. A dark SUV approached a parking lot and "indiscriminately" shot at civilians. Mohamed Sow, 21, was shot fatally. The shooting took place on Jane Street and St. Clair Avenue.

Surveillance footage showed multiple people fleeing and hiding behind cars to avoid being shot at.

Two victims were transported to the hospital via ambulance, and two others made their way to the hospital on their own. Sow died in hospital the next day. All other victims are expected to recover.

The suspect has been identified as 21-year-old Malique Francis-Taylor. He is facing charges of murder in the first degree and attempted murder and is expected to appear in court today.
