Americans are sounding off on potential new mask mandates, as news broke that the Biden Administration is considering reversing course on masking recommendations for fully vaccinated due to the Delta Variant.

Fox News spoke with people in the streets of Washington DC, to get their thoughts on the possibility of mandatory masks making a return to everyday life.

DC resident TJ Dashner told Fox News "I would do it just so I could go outside, but I wouldn't be happy about it. I mean, in my eyes, we had the vaccine, the delta variant is just like another strand of the flu at this point. At some point we have to just move on."

Kevin Hoffman said that he would only mask up if required by a store. "Stores have the right to refuse service, but that's the only way I'd wear it."

Gean Sotlo, from Florida, a state which has rejected mask mandates and other COVID-19 restrictions, very simply said, "I don't want to, no," when asked if he wants to mask up again.

However, not everyone is against the idea of new mandates, Jamil Escobar says that she supports making masking mandatory again, even for kids in schools. She told Fox News, "for the safety, for everything, I think we should. Even the schools, I think kids sometimes, they should wear masks."

There is, however, mounting evidence that masking children is not beneficial and instead causes both physical and psychological harm.

The Washington Post broke the news of potential new mask recommendations, which apparently are being considered after the six fully vaccinated democrats from Texas, as well as Biden and Pelosi staffers, tested positive for the COVID-19.

The CDC previously changed its masking recommendations in May, when it said that fully vaccinated Americans no longer had to mask indoors.
