A pizza delivery driver in London, Ontario, was picking up an order when he returned to find a thief attempting to steal his car, he then took matters into his own hands to stop the carjacker, according to CTV News.
The attempted robbery took place at 415 Hamilton Road around 8 p.m. once the delivery driver left his car to pick up the order. It was then that the suspect, a 27-year-old London man, jumped inside the driver's seat and attempted to peel off. The delivery driver managed to get to him in time and a struggle began.
The altercation came to an end when the suspect managed to escape. He was hurt, though with non-life threatening injuries.
Some time later the suspect was confronted by police while fleeing the scene. He resisted arrest and was taken into custody after a brief struggle with police.
The suspect faces one charge of attempt to commit dial procedure offence and one charge of obstructing a peace officer.
