Attorney General William Barr's testified today before the House Judiciary Committee, addressing the Democrats' interrogation into the Justice Department.

In an opening statement, Barr countered attacks leveled against him that accused him of cronyism.

“As I said in my confirmation hearing, the Attorney General has a unique obligation. He holds in trust the fair and impartial administration of justice. He must ensure that there is one standard of justice that applies to everyone equally and that criminal cases are handled evenhandedly, based on the law and the facts, and without regard to political or personal considerations," Barr strongly stated.

He spoke on the racial tensions following George Floyd’s death, defending the criminal justice system for progressing over the past five decades.

One officer’s racism is not due to “some deep-seated racism generally infecting our police departments," Barr emphasized.

He went on to cite statistics, nothing that “the overall number of police shootings has been decreasing.”

“Nevertheless, every instance of excessive force is unacceptable and must be addressed,” he added.

Congressman Jerry Nadler, the chairman of the committee, accused Barr of backing President Donald Trump's alleged misdeeds:

"In your time in the department, you have aided and abetted the worst failings of the president," he told Barr.

Nadler recounted the DOJ's recent conduct under Barr, claiming that the department has "endangered Americans and violated their constitutional rights" by deploying federal law enforcement in the nation's most riot-ravaged cities and disregarding opposition from local leaders.

By supposedly refusing to hold police officers accountable for their actions and expressing "open hostility" towards the Black Lives Matter movement, department officials have also "downplayed the effects of systemic racism" and "abandoned the victims of police brutality," Nadler asserted.

In coordination with the White House, the DOJ has additionally spread "disinformation" about voter fraud—in which Democrats have notoriously deemed a hoax—and failed to enforce voting rights laws, Nadler continued.

This is all to assist Trump's re-election, he purported.

The department has "amplified the president's conspiracy theories" by "blatantly misrepresenting" the Mueller Report and "failing to hold foreign actors accountable" for their alleged attacks on the 2020 presidential election, "undermining national security," Nadler concluded.

Democrats on the 40-person panel one-by-one slammed Barr, first pointing a finger to the civil unrest that's sweeping the nation and forcing liberal media to finally air violent mob footage after months of covering the "peaceful protests."

In response to rioters setting fire to St. John's Church, Rep. Jamie Raskin questioned if Barr was aware that church leaders denounced the subsequent "police assault on the civil rights and civil liberties of the people."

"Did they do that before or after the fire was put out?" Barr snapped back at Raskin.

When the riots failed to take down Barr and the Trump Administration, the Democrats moved onto the pandemic.

"Donald Trump's response to the coronavirus pandemic has been the worst failure of any president in American history and the American people have paid the price," Rep. Hakeem Jeffries claimed.

The New York representative fired at Trump for calling 99% of  COVID-19 cases "totally harmless."

Barr defended the president, alluding that there is less of a lethal risk posed to asymptomatic patients without underlying conditions.

"The fatality rate relatively is very low," Barr rebutted.

Jeffries snapped back with the 150,000 American lives lost, "a failure of epic proportions."

As Republican worry over election security, Democrats advocate for expanding voter access amid the stay-at-home crackdowns, further implementing mail-in ballots into the "New Normal."

Pennsylvania Rep. Mary Scanlon highlighted how Barr had suggested in three interviews that foreign actors could rig the upcoming presidential election.

"In fact, you have no evidence that foreign countries can successfully sway our elections with counterfeit ballots. Do you?" Scanlon probed.

"No, I don't, but I have common sense," Barr pushed back.

As he was grilled over four-and-a-half hours, Barr was never given a fair trial by his peers or by leftist media. He even asked for a five-minute lunch break. When he was denied initially, Barr noted how he had to wait for Nadler for an hour this morning but the privilege doesn't extend both ways.

"A real class act," Barr called Nadler, summarizing the entire witch hunt.
