The Bank of Canada has suspended a man who wanted permission to stay at home instead of getting vaccinated against COVID-19, according to Blacklock's Reporter.

The man is suspended without pay. The decision to suspend this man, however, comes in the wake of a Supreme Court decision that states that businesses have no right to validate religious exemptions.

It is worth noting that the man suspended by the Bank of Canada sought a religious exemption.

The Bank of Canada has a policy of suspending or terminating employees who do not reveal their vaccination status.

Having said that, they said they accept religious exemptions, however, they denied the man's request. The man had a letter from his pastor to support his claims.

Speaking about the Bank's decision to suspend him, the man said "It hurt so badly. I just wanted to work. How can someone tell me I cannot work?"

The man was employed as an IT manager within the Bank of Canada.

"I was not even going into the office," he added. "I have been working remotely since March 15, 2020. We were told not to go into the office. I do not pose any medical risk to anyone."
