A manufacturer of Canadian hockey equipment has offered to use its production line in order to make protective visors to help first responders, doctors and nurses.
Bauer would be modifying its product line at its Blainville, Quebec innovation centre to make visors according to TSN.

Dan Bourgeois, the vice-president of products at Bauer, noted that police, firefighters and hospitals have already shown interest in the equipment.
Bourgeois added that a decision was made to use the company’s product line for protective equipment after Premier Francois Legault suggested that Quebec manufacturers could play an important role in fighting the outbreak.
The visors proposed by the company provide full face coverage and use anti-fogging material.
The company is waiting for the provincial government’s authorization before beginning production after non-essential businesses were ordered to close in Quebec.
