Dr. Bonnie Henry, British Columbia's top health official, said in a press conference on Wednesday that she has no time for people who complain that masks make them sick or limit their freedom, CTV News reports.
BC implemented a mask mandate earlier in November under the threat of a $230 fine. Most provinces had already implemented them in public spaces, but BC, where the pandemic was not very severe during the first wave, held out.
Henry's comment comes after an incident in Kelowna, BC, where a woman was arrested while refusing to wear a mask inside a Value Village.
