Biden's presidency is wreaking havoc on America and it's only going to get worse

Now we've got a president that is letting the border fall apart, is spending money faster than he can print it, and can't get through a speech without sounding like a dotty old grandpa.

The last few weeks have been clarifying for Americans. The Biden Administration revealed two important truths: They have no intention of being moderate, and entertaining a liberal President is as bad as it sounds. These ideas are important to understand because half of America chose President Biden, not because he was a particularly likable or strong candidate, but simply because they liked President Trump a lot less.

Now we've got a president that is letting the border fall apart, is spending money faster than he can print it, and can't get through a speech without sounding like a dotty old grandpa who tells the same stories over and over again while the family smiles and nods because they're too polite to let on that they've heard it all before.

Be that as it may, ideas—like a Biden Presidency—have consequences and as such, here is what they look like now. The economy is struggling to recover from the pandemic. Not just because of COVID and lockdowns, which admittedly play a significant role in its decline, but because of several things Biden has chosen to do (or undo) which have real-world effects on people, their work, and their finances.

Biden shut down the Keystone XL Pipeline in January. Though it didn't necessarily contribute to increasing gas prices, it did cost Americans thousands of jobs, and was a betrayal of our Canadian allies by completely ignoring their needs. The price of lumber is up 400 percent, although some argue that's not Biden's fault, Americans will look to him to try to fix it and he may not be able to, such is the conflict between supply and demand. Gasoline is up 130 percent. Inflation is 4.2 percent; our national debt is somewhere between $20-30 trillion, an unfathomable number.

Whereas Trump overhauled the tax code in 2017, Biden will raise taxes on the most wealthy Americans, who already pay the majority of taxes. If Biden's current tax plan gets passed, he'll double the capital gains tax for the most wealthy. But in letting Trump's tax cuts expire, he is also raising taxes on the middle class.

The Wall Street Journal said Biden's economic "fixes" for America in terms of healthcare, energy, and regulation proposals were actually so bad Americans will have "$6,500 less in median household income by 2030." Even the Washington Post predicted Biden's economic agenda will be "frighteningly expensive" and we are seeing the beginning of that starting to take affect now.

Our nation's infrastructure is struggling. A cyberattack on one of our nation's main gas lines caused long gas lines and a shortage, however brief. Our allies are suffering: Palestinians escalated orchestrated attacks on Israel and our foreign policy response to it has been passive and vague. Boundaries on immigration are a joke: Under the Biden presidency—just these short five months—statistics show thousands upon thousands of migrants have been released into the United States via the border due to Biden's loosening of immigration policies like "Remain in Mexico."

On May 10, the Biden administration released a policy expanding access to cross-sex surgery, despite the fact that forcing a doctor to facilitate a mastectomy for a transgender person seems as anti-science as it does unethical. This is on top of appointing Dr. Rachel Levine, the first transgender person as the assistant secretary of health and Xavier Becerra as the United States Secretary of Health and Human Services. Becerra spent the last decade trying to force nuns to provide contraceptives under the ACA mandate—and failed. Both these choices reveal a desire to push a more radical, liberal agenda couched in the guise of equality.

If the Biden administration were planning on being the most liberal, destructive, Presidency since Obama signed the Affordable Healthcare Act in 2010, what would they do differently? Americans didn't elect Biden because he was compelling, wise, and an efficient leader. They didn't reelect Trump because he was irreverent, ignorant, and pedestrian in his own gaudy way—especially at the end. He had no political gravitas and what he lacked in that he made up for in mean tweets—tweets Americans disliked because they were too on the nose. We want to say it like it is—we don't want our President to mimic that.

I didn't care for the way President Trump handled the election results, but for the three years before COVID, he made decisions that helped the economy thrive, instituted hundreds of originalist judges on the federal bench, retained the authority of the First Amendment in orders, and reigned in the momentum of the LGBTQ mob through the Department of Health and Human Services.

Half of Americans decided they preferred appearances over results and voted for a leftist administration. While Biden himself may be a modest moderate, his cohorts aren't and that's why we're seeing the fruit of the seeds of a liberal administration just months into the first year of a four year Presidency: Rampant unemployment, increased inflation, attacks on our allies, the upending of orthodox beliefs in favor of the LGBT lobby.  This is America on Biden: Are you happy now?
