A Black Lives Matter group in Washington, DC has been pressuring hotels to close their doors to visitors to prevent rally-goers in support of President Donald Trump from having a place to stay in the city, ABC7 reports.

The pressure comes after Hotel Harrington, a hotel in Washington, DC, announced that they would be closed Jan. 4-6 "for the safety of visitors and employees." They offered refunds to those who have had their bookings cancelled as a result.

The Harrington houses Harry's Restaurant and Grill which is a popular spot for Trump supporters to gather when they are in the the city.

Pro-Trump demonstrators intend to march on DC on Jan. 6 in a rally hosted by the organizers of the Million MAGA March. President Trump announced a rally on that day over Twitter on Sunday.

"This is how you stop white supremacists from destroying our city and terrorizing [DC] residents," Black Lives Matter DC tweeted.

The tweet tagged a number of other prominent hotels in Washington DC, encouraging them to deny Trump supporters shelter.
