Andy Ngo's new book Unmasked: Inside Antifa's Radical Plan to Destroy Democracy, has hit The New York Times bestseller list, in at number five on the hardcover non-fiction list and number 3 on the combined e-book and hardcover non-fiction list. The book details Antifa's organizational efforts and patterns of violence, most notably in Portland and Seattle. Antifa, Ngo said, "is just one manifestation of far-left domestic terrorism in the US."

"America has a history of far-left terrorism," Ngo told Tucker Carlson recently. "In the 60s and 70s there were the Weather Underground and Black Liberation army. In the 80s we had the May 19 Communist organization. Today we have Antifa."

Ngo's reporting on Antifa, its origins, and its effects has graced the pages of The Post Millennial, where he is editor-at-large, the New York Post, Quillette, and Newsweek. Antifa has attempted to discredit his work, and where they have failed at that, they have attacked him physically, online, and in the press. They protested Portland's famed Powell's bookstore over the bookseller's decision to carry Ngo's book in their online store.

For their part, Powell's released a statement saying that they would remain closed so long as the protestors mobbed their shop. In the "...interest of fostering thoughtful dialogue and illuminating American discourse as it stands," Powell's Books allows "both righteous and deplorable books" to share its virtual and physical shelves, they said.

Powell's Books president and owner Emily Powell addressed the company's "Commitment to Free Speech," explaining that while some of its inventory is "hand-selected" and "hand-promoted," Ngo's Unmasked: Inside Antifa’s Radical Plan to Destroy Democracy arrived via long-term and respected publisher Hachette Book Group.

"We list the majority of their catalogue on Powells.com automatically," she stated, "as do many other independent and larger retailers. We have a similar arrangement with other publishers."

Ngo's book rose to the top of the sales chart despite the persistent actions of far-left activists to silence the book out of existence. In fact, it was after militants in Ngo's hometown of Portland endeavored to hold Powell's accountable for selling the book that Unmasked rose to the top of the charts.

A Los Angeles Times book review likened Ngo, the son of Vietnamese immigrants, to infamous Nazi Joseph Goebbels, saying "Every act of violence by [A]ntifa...is described so meticulously and ominously that Herr Goebbels would have been proud." Alexander Nazaryan, who penned the review, is also the White House correspondent for Yahoo! News.

"Maligning the opposition was central to the Nazi strategy, and it is critical to today's far-right extremists," Nazaryan pressed, asserting that Ngo's intention in Unmasked appears to "run a diversionary tactic for Patriot Prayer and other groups that are far more dangerous than their leftist counterparts."

These persistent efforts to entice the reading public into not buying, reading, or believing Ngo's book appear to be backfiring. Ngo maintains a dedication to his subject, despite threats, violent acts, and intensive defaming. Unmasked furthers the research into a group that has steadfastly refused to be recognized as what they are. The book is available from Amazon.
