The office of the ethics commissioner announced late Friday afternoon that it will be investigating Justin Trudeau's involvement in the latest scandal to rock his government: the awarding of a $900 million to a charity with close ties to his family, the WE Foundation.

Justin Trudeau has close ties to the WE Charity. His wife, Sophie, hosts a podcast for the charity; the two co-founders donated to Trudeau's leadership election; and, the prime minister regularly appears at the charity's events.
This may be Justin Trudeau's third ethics violation if proven to be guilty. The first violation was Trudeau's Aga Khan trip and his second violation came after the SNC-Lavalin scandal.
