Prime Minister Justin Trudeau addressed media today at Rideau cottage after taking two days off to spend time with his family over Easter.

Trudeau said 1.1 million N95 masks were ready to be distributed to the provinces, along with other vital PPE which will be available starting next Monday.

He also said that over 430,000 tests have been conducted nationally.

Trudeau also announced that $130 million would be made available for Northern communities in Canada.

More than $72 will be sent to the Yukon, NWT and Nunavut for healthcare and community preparedness.

Trudeau announced that asymptomatic travelers who cannot explain a credible quarantine plan will be made to quarantine in a hotel. This measure will begin at midnight tonight.

Trudeau said non-credible plans include those who plan on staying with the elderly, or who do not have a set destination.

Trudeau says that the reality around re-opening the economy will take "weeks, still," saying that Canadians will have to remain vigilant until a vaccine against coronavirus is found.

Trudeau also addressed criticisms that he faced from Canadians after the PM travelled to his Quebec cottage to see his family. Trudeau said that, with his family having isolated for weeks and having isolated himself, his visit to his family abided by public health regulations.
