Freedom Convoy leader and organizer Pat King has been denied bail.
King's actions were called "an attack on the rule of law" by Justice of the Peace Andrew Seymour, who added that he believed that there was a likelihood that King would reoffend if released, CTV News Ottawa reported.
King, 44, is now the second of the freedom convoy organizers to be denied bail.
Earlier this week, Tamara Lich was also denied bail by judge Julie Bourgeois.
"There is a substantial risk you will continue these actions and will not abide by an order," the judge told Lich.
"Your recent history in our city … satisfies me that you're detention is necessary for the safety and protection of the public."
The judge also said that Lich was being "guarded" and that her attitude was "almost to be obstructive."
King faces charges of mischief, counselling to commit mischief, counselling to commit the offence of disobeying a court order, and of counselling to obstruct police.
