2016 presidential candidate Hillary Clinton announced Tuesday she has tested positive for COVID-19 and is experiencing "mild cold symptoms" but otherwise "feeling fine." The former Secretary of State still took the opportunity to urge Americans to get vaccinated and boosted against the coronavirus.

"I've got some mild cold symptoms but am feeling fine," Clinton tweeted Tuesday. "I'm more grateful than ever for the protection vaccines can provide against serious illness. Please get vaccinated and boosted if you haven't already!"

Noting that former President Bill Clinton tested negative, the ex-First Lady said her husband is quarantining until the household is "fully in the clear." Clinton added in the follow-up tweet, "Movie recommendations appreciated!"

Clinton testing positive for COVID-19 comes after news broke of double-vaxxed and boosted White House press secretary Jen Psaki contracting the virus for a second time.

Psaki's positive COVID-19 test Tuesday afternoon is the second one within a year.

In October of last year, Psaki said in a statement that she ditched foreign travel plans with President Joe Biden "due to a family emergency," which was members of the Biden press secretary's household first testing positive for the coronavirus.
