The suspected shooter in the Louisville Old National Bank shooting apparently livestreamed the event on Instagram, and it was still running when police got to his body. He also left a note for his parents. Police said it wasn't entirely clear if he was killed by officers or shot himself at the scene.

25-year-old Connor Sturgeon, who police believe carried out the shooting, also reportedly left a note for his parents in advance of the deadly massacre of 4 individuals, including one officer, and injuring 9 more. Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear's close friend was among the deceased.

Prior to the shooting, Sturgeon had made a series of Instagram posts, indicating his intention to carry out the attack following his firing, Daily Mail reports.

Sturgeon's parents received a note from him indicating his intention to carry out the attack, after being informed of his dismissal. An Instagram account linked to Sturgeon was under the username "Mr. Concussion."

During the shooting, Sturgeon was overheard on police scanners stating that he was suicidal and had texted a friend about his intention to shoot up the bank.

Sturgeon had a middle-class upbringing in Floyd's Knob, Indiana, where he was a star basketball player at Floyd Central High School.

He attended the University of Alabama before studying at the Manderson Graduate School of Business at the same college. His friends were shocked by his actions and suggested that a series of concussions he suffered in his school sporting career may have contributed to his mindset.
