Left-wing activists gathered en masse on Saturday at Turning Point USA's Student Action Summit, and have marched to the event’s location at the Tampa Convention Center in Florida.
In footage posted by The Post Millennial's Katie Daviscourt, one protester threatened attendees saying "I have two words for Turning Point USA and everyone involved with it, be scared. Actually, be terrified"
Tensions have increased throughout the afternoon between the protesters and attendees outside the convention center.
In another clip, an aggressive mob can be seen clamoring around comedian Alex Stein.
One man spoke to the crowd of fellow protestors telling them that they need to live up to their chants of "no justice, no peace." That same activist stated, "I want them to be afraid of us" and "they should be afraid of us."
A convention attendee dressed as Uncle Sam was met with jeers and confrontation by bullhorn wielding activist.
The protestors were organized by a handful of activist groups such as Florida For Change, Tampa Bay Community Action Committee, and Women's Voices of SW Florida. A Facebook event for the protest was created and titled "DON'T FASCIST OUR FLORIDA."
The protestors were met with a strong counter-protest and eventually started to disperse after Human Events host Jack Posobiec started leading the crowd in chants of "USA." Tampa Bay Police eventually arrived on scene to separate the groups.
Saturday's confrontations were not the first time a TPUSA event has been met with protest from Left-wing activists. In May, Leftist protestors violently disrupted a TPUSA high school meeting in Missouri.
Saturday is the second day of TPUSA's Student Action Summit and the convention is set to continue until July 24th.
