A police officer in Glasgow, Scotland has been stabbed and three others have been killed following a "serious incident" in Glasgow, Scotland.

A police officer in Glasgow, Scotland has been stabbed and three others have been killed following a "serious incident" in Glasgow, Scotland, reports Global News.

The Sun reports that witnesses saw victims being carried out of the Park Inn Hotel and a man was spotted covered in blood and lying on the steps of the hotel.

The Park Inn Hotel may be housing asylum seekers, according to the BBC today.

Steve Johnson, assistant chief constable for Police Scotland wants to “reassure the public that this is a contained incident and that the wider public is not at risk.”

He added that police are continuing to look for anyone who is connected to the incident and the injured officer is now being treated in hospital.

In a tweet, the Scottish Police Federation—representing most Scottish police officers—said the officer’s family has been notified.

West George Street is currently filled with police as over a dozen vehicles are parked near the scene.

Armed police appear to be making their way into a building and are accompanied by many emergency vehicles outside the building.

Sky News reports that many people have been injured so far..

Nicola Sturgeon, the Scottish First Minister said that the current reports are “truly dreadful.”

Boris Johnson, the British Prime Minister said he was “deeply saddened by the terrible incident in Glasgow” and he is thinking of “all the victims and their families.”
