Update: Bleacher Report reported that Tom Brady hasn't come to a decision yet and has reached out to Bucs General Manager Jason Licht.

After 7 Super Bowls won and 34 playoff wins, Tom Brady, the NFL's most iconic quarterback ever, is retiring from the league at age 44.

The Patriots' star player made the announcement on his "Let's Go!" podcast, saying it was time for him to go after such an illustrious career.

According to Mass Live, Brady mentioned that he is retiring mainly for family reasons. "My wife [Brazilian ex-supermodel Gisele Bundchen] is my biggest supporter," he commented. "It pains her to see me get hit out there."

"And she deserves what she needs from me as a husband and my kids deserve what they need from me as a dad," continued Brady, pressing home the point of how he feels his family needs him.

Brady then mentioned what he plans to do now that he is retiring, saying, "I’m gonna spend some time with them and give them what they need, ‘cause they’ve really been giving me what I need the last six months to do what I love to do."

"I said this a few years ago, it’s what relationships are all about. It’s not always what I want. It’s what we want as a family."

Brady recently took some flak from the public for not wearing a mask before a Super Bowl game, but he took it in stride, which is his typical style.
