The Post Millennial’s exclusive podcast hosted by YouTube and attorney David Freiheit, also known as Viva Frei, has premiered at number four in Apple’s Politics category after premiering on Monday.

The podcast comes behind The NPR Politics Podcast, Steve Bannon’s War Room, and Pod Save America.

The high position on the charts comes after just one episode, in which Freiheit breaks down Monday’s first day of the trial of Steve Bannon.

In the podcast’s premiere, Freiheit broke down he events that led up to Bannon’s trial.

Freiheit explained that Bannon had "defied a congressional subpoena in the context of the committee that had been formed to investigate the events around the January 6 'insurrection' that never was."

"Important to note," Frei later added, "that Steve Bannon was not even present on the day of January 6; he was not in the Capitol building."

"But he was present the day before, when he is alleged to have said something to the effect of, 'All hell's gonna break loose tomorrow'."

Day one of the trial consisted of jury selection, which took place in "staunchly Democrat" Washington, DC.

Describing what he has been told from people inside the courtroom, Freiheit described the selected jury as a "majority white" and "a good split between men and women." He noted that some of the members are donors to the Democrats, and have connections in the "incestuous" world of law and politics in DC.

Freiheit has stated that he’s "skeptical" that the trial would last the entire week, admitting that "there isn't much to go to trial on here."

If convicted, Bannon faces up to one year in prison and a $1,000 fine per charge, with a mandatory minimum of thirty days in prison and a $100 fine.

Freiheit is a Canadian lawyer with a degree from the University of Laval. He began practicing in 2007, but left the practice in 2018 to began devoting himself to creating commentary videos on his YouTube channel.
