Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has called for byelections in two Ontario ridings.

The election, which will take place on October 26, will seek to fill the seat of disgraced Toronto Centre MP Bill Morneau, as well as the seat for Michael Levitt, who left after being offered the role of CEO at the Canadian Friends of Simon Wiesenthal Centre, a Jewish group.

Marci Ien will be looking to win the Toronto Centre seat, with Ya'ara Saks running for York Centre.

According to Canadian polling site 338Canada, York Centre is considered to be "Leaning LPC," while Toronto Centre is considered a Liberal safe seat.

The NDP has yet to name a candidate in either riding.
