Canada's Minister of Foreign Affairs Marc Garneau also condemned the actions in a statement released Monday morning, tweeting "Canada is deeply concerned by the Myanmar military’s recent actions, which jeopardize the peaceful process of democratic transition. We call on the Myanmar military to release all individuals who have been detained as part of this operation."
