Prime Minister Justin Trudeau unveiled his party's platform on Wednesday, including $78 billion in new spending and $25 billion in new revenue over the next five years.
Trudeau called the plan "ambitious, detailed, responsible, and concrete," with focus on $10-a-day child care, mental health care and support for seniors, housing, COVID, and climate change.
$1 billion will also be put towards next year's handgun ban.
The 82-page platform also includes reproductive health measures, with Trudeau saying that access to reproductive services should be "clear" and that Conservatives hurt "particularly vulnerable women" by making abortion harder to access.
In all, the platform will cost taxpayers $70.2 billion over the next five years, with plans to spend three dollars for every dollar in new revenue.
