President Trump has announced that the measures of quarantine and self-isolation are now recommended to be extended to April 30. “Nothing would be worse than declaring victory before the victory was won," he said.
"We will be extending our guidelines to April 30 to slow the spread,” Trump said. “The peak—the highest point—is likely to hit in two weeks."

This counteracts the previous hope that the measures would be able to be lifted by Easter. Trump said it would be unwise to declare victory “until the war is won.” He said that "floating Easter" was not a mistake, but was "aspirational."
"This is a wise, and prudent decision," said Dr. Fauci. He went on to say that he and his team went through all the data and are confident that an extension is warranted.
"I want the world to get rid of this," he said.
