President Trump announced that peace deals with "five or six" other countries and Israel were on their way, as the president continues to create a case for his Nobel Peace Prize nomination. Trump told reporters that Saudi Arabia and other countries will be "coming in fairly rapidly."

Today, Trump signed official deals between Israel, Bahrain and the UAE.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu called the peace deal a "pivot in history," as Bahrain, the UAE, and Saudi Arabia are all expected to sign on the US-brokered peace accords. "For thousands of years the Jewish people have prayed for peace, for decades the Jewish state has prayed for peace, and this is why today we are filled with such profound gratitude," Netanyahu continued.

“We’re here this afternoon to change the course of history. After decades of division and conflict we mark the dawn of a new Middle East," said Trump of the deal. "Thanks to the great courage of the leaders of these three countries, we take a major stride toward a future in which people of all faiths and backgrounds live together in peace and prosperity."

The peace deals will allow Israel, Bahrain, and the UAE to engage in trade, security, and tourism. Muslims will also be permitted to visit Islamic holy sites in Israel.

Last week, President Trump was nominated for the prize for securing the peaceful formalization of relations between Israel and the United Arab Emirates.

Trump received a second nomination for a prize, this time from a member of Swedish parliament, when he brokered a historic peace deal between Kosovo and Serbia—a conflict which has remained tense since the Clinton administration and beforehand.
