As voters across the country take to the polls to cast their votes in Tuesday's midterm elections, former president Trump offered some words of advice to those held up by issues at their polling sites.

He urged Americans, namely those in Arizona, to stay in line and ensure that their democratic right to vote is upheld.

"Don't leave your line," Trump began. "Stay where you are! They say that the machines aren't working; they say that they're running out paper in different locations throughout different states. There's a lot of bad things going on."

"Stay on line," he continued. "Do not leave. I know you dont wanna be there as long as they're gonna try and force you– they wanna delay you out of voting, and you cannot let them delay you out of voting."

"To the people of Arizona in particular, because that's the one that's come up right now, stay on line. Don't leave. Already a lot of people have left, and it's very very unfair what's going on."

In his plea, Trump referenced Maricopa County, where until recently voter tabulation issues had slowed things down. Election officials have since reassured the public that, following a printer adjustment, everything is under control.

This is a breaking story and will be updated.
