BREAKING: Vancouver SkyTrain station closed over reports of pipe bomb

According to the Burnaby RCMP, there are also unconfirmed reports of shots being fired.

Police in Metro Vancouver have closed down Metrotown Station due to “unconfirmed reports of a pipe bomb.” According to the Burnaby RCMP, there are also unconfirmed reports of shots being fired.

The RCMP say they have also closed Metrotown Station for unconfirmed reports of a pipe bomb. It is unclear if the two investigations are related.

Update: Police have cleared the Metrotown SkyTrain Station of the pipe bomb threat. Trains are now running through Metrotown but not stopping as of yet.
