It has been revealed that Britney Spears has been forced to shell out to every member of her family, except her sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, due to the legal conservatorship she has had placed over her.
As of this writing, her father, Jamie Spears, is still in charge of all her money and all financial issues, which Britney has worked hard since childhood to earn.
According to Fox Business, Jamie Spears has been paying himself $16,000 a month since the year 2008, and has billed his daughter more than $5 million over the years in total, including $2.6 million in commissions from Britney's four-year Vegas residency and a 2011 tour.
However, much of this money wound up in the hands of attorneys on both sides, and will likely continue to do so, as the court battle continues. Despite this fact, Jamie Spears, the person who authorizes payments from her, is most probably the highest-paid person by her. His legal costs, of course, also directly come from this money.
Her mother Lynne and other sibling Brian also are receiving payments from the conservatorship. However, at this time it isn't clear how much they are each receiving or what duties they may be performing in return for the money.
Britney's conservatorship, the subject of a long and twisted legal battle, has, according to Britney herself, some egregious provisions in it, like the stipulation that she is not allowed to remove a birth-control device.
