On Thursday, Fox News Media sent a press release announcing that Olympic athlete, entrepreneur, politician and actress Caitlyn Jenner has now been taken on by Fox as a contributor.

She will be formally introduced tonight to the public on the "Hannity" show, airing at its normal time of 9pm EST.

"Caitlyn’s story is an inspiration to us all. She is a trailblazer in the LGBTQ+ community and her illustrious career spans a variety of fields that will be a tremendous asset for our audience," commented Suzanne Scott, the Fox network's CEO.

"I am humbled by this unique opportunity to speak directly to FOX News Media’s millions of viewers about a range of issues that are important to the American people," mentioned Caitlyn Jenner in turn.

Jenner has been called "the world's most famous transgender person," due to her worldwide fame obtained pre-transition.

Competing in the 1970s under her birth name of Bruce Jenner, she set an impressive decathlon record, had an incredible showing at the 1976 Montreal Summer Games, and became a household word at the time.

Post-transition, she has founded the Caitlyn Jenner Foundation, an organization that aims to improve the lives and conditions of trans individuals worldwide.

Jenner has been very controversial in the past couple of years, often clashing with other representatives of the LGBTQ+ community. Many openly opposed her campaign for Governor of California due to her political affiliations and her previous support for Donald Trump.

She has also famously spoken out –  as a trans person with an illustrious history of athletics -- strongly against biological males' participating in women's sports, another polemic point in the trans community.
