High school Campus Security Officer Jonathan Ray Calderilla of Colton, California was arrested Friday on the charge of "Contacting a Minor with the Intent to Commit a Sex Crime."
According to local news, Calderilla is accused of sending "inappropriate text messages to the minor" by authorities. Police released a photo of the accused as they believe there are likely additional victims.
35-year-old Calderilla was a school Campus Security Officer at Slover Mountain Continuation High School which is part of the Colton Unified School District.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff posted on Twitter, saying: "School Campus Security Officer Arrested for Contacting a Minor with the Intent to Commit a Sex Crime."
He was placed on administrative leave in August by the district. On August 24, San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department's Specialized Investigations Division - Crimes Against Children Detail and the Fontana Sheriff's Station officially began their joint investigation into his alleged inappropriate relationship with a student.
He was booked into the Central Detention Center and held under violation of California Penal Code section 288.3 - Contacting a Minor with the Intent to Commit a Sex Crime.
His bail is set at $250,000.

Over 180 educators in grades K-12 have been arrested on charges relating to child sex crimes in 2022 alone. While men were the majority of the arrests, at 78 percent, women were also among those educators who were arrested on charges of sexually violating their students. 77 percent of the arrests were due to alleged crimes against students directly.
