Millions of Canadians are relying on Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) payments due to the economic destruction of the COVID-19 pandemic. Recently the delivery system has failed Canadians. The cheques and direct deposits have showed up late or in some cases not at all.

Canadians across the country are paying their rent, buying groceries, and purchasing medication with the response benefit that was instituted back in March.
The CRA aims to have CERB payments made by direct deposit issued within 3-5 business days.
Twitter users are saying their September deposits have been delayed without explanation. Usually the request would take 48 hours to be processed and for the $2000 to be transferred.
Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said that the program could have "little hiccups" related to the newly announced four-week extension of benefits.
When asked about the delays, the Canadian Revenue Agency (CRA) told CityNews: "The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) understands how important the Canada Emergency Response Benefit (CERB) is to Canadians during this time, and we want to assure applicants that they will receive the payments that they are entitled to."
