On Tuesday, the official Twitter account of a CBC show posted a tweet poking fun at the fact that CPC Leader Erin O'Toole has contracted COVID-19.

The tweet comes from "22 minutes," a "comedy program" broadcasting on CBC. A report shows that only 3 percent of Canadians actually watch CBC, even though it is 100 percent taxpayer funded.

It is still undisclosed how much Canadian tax dollars are given to the CBC. The actual tweet in question has now been deleted following backlash.

CPC Leader Erin O'Toole test positive for COVID-19 on Friday. His Wife Rebecca also tested positive as of Monday. They are both in isolation, and keeping an eye on any potential symptoms in their three children.

The program has not issued any apology following the tweet and deletion, and has continued tweeting attempts at jokes as usual.

As of September 22nd, the total number of COVID cases in Canada is 147,000 with 9,234 fatalities, with over 126,000 recorded recoveries.
