“Cool4Kids Day” is happening January 26th 2019 in Toronto. It is a brand new initiative that has been established by the Tech4SickKids Foundation and Lapiat, a revolutionary new food sharing app. All you have to do to participate is stay at home and order amazing, gourmet food!
LaPiat provides a digital food marketplace for its users. LaPiat first launched in Toronto in June 2018. The Toronto food and chef community has embraced LaPiat since its launch. LaPiat has created a tight community bonded together by the love of food. This is shown by over 200 chefs and caterers that are part of the LaPiat platform and by over 7 000 downloads of the app available in Apple App Store and Android Play Store.
Two Celebrity Chefs, Masterchef Finalist Jennifer Baglione and CNE’s Jordan Gillis (famous for Hot Tokyo Fried Chicken) will be lending their names and their talents in an all-day-cook-a-thon. Baglione and Gillis will be cooking their most famous dishes and the food will be available directly on the LaPiat app platform.
The proceeds with go to the SickKids Tech Foundation including the Tech4SickKids Initiative—Tech4SickKids has a goal to raise $25 million through the tech and innovation community that will play an integral role in efforts to meet the growing needs of patients through the redevelopment of the SickKids campus. This will include a new Emergency Suite, investments in data analytics systems and leadership support.
Customers will be able to purchase delicious meals, which will be delivered to their doorsteps by the LaPiat team. It’s a great opportunity to try out an innovative new food sharing service and help SickKids build much needed technology and infrastructure to help children in need.
