A spokesman for the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) attacked the United States and Canada for its treatment of Native Americans over the past several centuries.

The CCP spokesman attacked the two nations saying that they do not have the moral high ground to comment on human rights abuses around the world and called for them to "review and redress genocide, racial discrimination and forced labor that exist" in the two countries.

"The U.S. is in no position to wield human rights as a stick around the world," the spokesman said according to the Daily Wire. "It needs to reflect upon and redress its own human rights crimes including genocide, racial discrimination, and forced labor. The genocide committed by the U.S. on American Indians is a publicly recognized fact. Even today, American Indians remain an 'invisible' community and a 'disapproving minority.'"

"According to U.S. media reports, the living space of Native Americans has been seriously squeezed and they live in harsh conditions. About a quarter of Navajo women and some infants had high levels of radioactive substance in their systems as a result of mining for U.S. weaponry on their reservation," the spokesman continued.

"American Indians born today have a life expectancy that is 5.5 years less than the national average," the communist mouthpiece went on. "In the U.S., ethnic minorities, indigenous peoples, refugees, and immigrants are constantly threatened by discrimination, hate speeches, and xenophobia [sic] acts, while white supremacy remains a tumor in American society. The international community will be watching to see whether and how the U.S. will seriously review and redress its deplorable human rights record."

The CCP also attacked Canada for the treatment of Indigenous people while Canada deals with the revelations of unmarked graves and reconciliation around residential schools. "We urge #Canada to completely redress the injustice of suppression against the indigenous people with 10 times the effort it makes now," a spokesman wrote on Twitter.

This has been a strategy by China to deflect questions about the ongoing treatment of Uyghur Muslims who are being placed in camps in western China.

While Trudeau dances around the issue, Conservative leader Erin O'Toole said, "Genocide is taking place in China right now. Approximately a million Uyghurs have been forcibly relocated into detention centres. People who have managed to escape have reported horrific, co-ordinated violence including physical, mental and sexual torture. Women have spoken of mass rape and sexual abuse. Women have been subjected to forced sterilization."
