Kirk Cameron, who has been a public figure since he was a teenager in the 1980's, has publicly hosted a large singalong protest against lockdowns in the LA area.
Cameron, who played Mike Weaver, one of the main characters on the classic hit sitcom "Growing Pains", and has since worked as a director and filmmaker. has been promoting the event on social media, which took place in the parking lot of the Oaks mall in the Thousand Oaks area of greater Los Angeles.
The parking lot packed with people from all over who wanted to get together in the holiday spirit.
Good for them. Freedom is important. Lockdowns target churches, kill small businesses, and ruin families pic.twitter.com/qUdhQolRtk

On Cameron's account on Instagram, one can see two videos of people gathered and singing Christmas carols and patriotic songs. Both videos have over 100,000 views.
One of the videos is captioned "God Bless America! Joy over Fear", the other one "Christmas in Community! Peaceful Protest in Song!" Cameron is very vocal as a conservative and a devout Christian, and has no fear of promoting his faith and his beliefs publicly.
It appears that the gatherings are legal, since California's stay-at-home order which went into effect on Dec. 7 allows for large gatherings if they are religious services and held outdoors.
