A conservative nonprofit organization has claimed that it will spend millions of dollars to fight against "the woke ideology of sheltered white liberals" in the run-up to the American midterm elections this November.

Citizens for Sanity, a tax-exempt group working with Republicans, has launched a television, newspaper and billboard advertising campaign in battleground congressional districts, reported Politico on Tuesday.

According to the organization's website, their mission is to "return common sense to America, to highlight the importance of logic and reason, and to defeat 'wokeism' and anti-critical thinking ideologies that have permeated every sector of our country and threaten the very freedoms that are foundational to the American Dream."

This week, the organization began running a TV ad to highlight the issue of biologically male transgender athletes playing on sports teams with and against females.

The commercial, produced by veteran GOP strategist John Brabender, portrays a transgender athlete competing in a women’s track meet and crushing the competition, to the dismay of the female runners and onlookers.

"She trains at 6 am every morning," the video opened, showing female runners preparing to take off out of the starting blocks. "She spent years working to shave off seconds. She's the captain of her school's team."

"He's just a mid-pack finisher," the narrator said, as the camera panned to a significantly larger biological male runner. "But not today."

"Unfortunately, this competition was over before it even began," the ad’s narrator says, calling out "Biden and his radical allies." The ad continues: "Woke left-wing politicians are destroying girls' sports."

Just last year, collegiate swimmer Lia Thomas made headlines when the UPenn swimmer went from being ranked at 554 in the men's 500 yard freestyle division to breaking the women's record, later going on to win the NCAA championships in the 200.

In 2020, Idaho became the first state to pass restrictions on biological male athletes in girl's sports. Since then, more than half a dozen states, including Mississippi, Montana, Florida, West Virginia, Tennessee, Arkansas and Alabama, have barred biological males from playing on female sports teams.

Over the last several weeks, Citizens for Sanity has run multiple provocative billboard advertisements, with messages like "Protect Pregnant Men from Climate Discrimination" and "Open the jails. Open the borders. Close the schools. Vote progressive this November."

Another head-turning billboard reads: "Violent criminals deserve our compassion and respect. This fall, stand strong for progressive values."

Ian Prior is serving as a strategic consultant to the group. He is also the executive director of Fight for Schools, another nonprofit that works to end critical race theory and left-wing indoctrination in public schools.

"The woke ideology of sheltered white liberals is a mortal threat to American liberty, security and prosperity," Prior said in a statement to Politico.

"Citizens for Sanity is not an ideological organization: we stand for reason, common sense, objectivity, equality, the neutral rule of law, and open scientific inquiry — everything the radical left now stands implacably against," he added. "And we are using these messaging campaigns to alert Americans to the urgent need to defeat and repudiate woke insanity before it destroys America."
