Twitter users were divided by a tweet sent out by the football team in support of George Floyd following Derek Chauvin's guilty verdict.
The tweet, which reads "I CAN BREATHE 4-20-21" was almost certainly meant to be compassionate, however to many it came off as the exact opposite. Before long, the Raiders' twitter was inundated with memes and comments expressing peoples' displeasure towards the cringeworthy tweet.

One user equated the team's post to shirts worn by Blue Lives Matter activists which bore the same message.
Did Nancy Pelosi help you all write this?

For clarification both this post and Nancy Pelosi’s comments are insensitive. George Floyd did not sacrifice himself he was murdered. Systemic change is needed.
— Sam G (@sgranger1376) April 21, 2021
Another suggested that Nancy Pelosi had helped write the comment.
The post is one of many released by sports teams and corporations today in which they attempt to show their commitment to social justice.
