Criminals are loving Justin Trudeau’s gun grab

With Justin Trudeau being slammed by premiers and law-enforcement experts for his disgraceful gun grab against law-abiding Canadians, we can clearly see that criminals are the biggest winners in all this.

In fact, criminals must be absolutely loving this.

The federal government is now going to expend gigantic amounts of money, time, and political capital to take guns away from Canadians who follow the law.

Meanwhile, that money, time, and political capital will be taken away from the growing threat of violent gangs.

With crime on the rise in Canada, and with our country facing the possibility of an immense crime surge due to upcoming economic destruction, the real threat to Canadians are criminal gangs that ignore gun laws, and smuggle guns from across the border.

Police in many cities—including in cities like Winnipeg where crime is already skyrocketing—are underfunded, asked to do far more with far fewer resources than they need.

If the government really wanted to fight gun crime, they would provide a massive increase in funding to police forces, and impose a stringent crackdown on gangs, while toughening penalties for many serious crimes, rather than having such a pathetically weak "justice system."

By going for a gun grab against law-abiding Canadians instead, the federal government is doing the exact opposite of what should be done.

They are focusing resources on those who do not commit crimes, giving a huge win to those who do commit crimes.

This will make Canada a far more dangerous place.

In effect, we are seeing the scapegoating of innocent Canadians, while dangerous criminals are given free reign to continue violating the laws.

There will be more gang crime, more violence, more death, and more suffering, all while the federal government stands back and cynically attacks our law-abiding Citizens.

Not only is the Trudeau government making Canada more dangerous, but they are further dividing our nation at a time when we need to be united.

By demonizing law-abiding gun owners, and by distracting from the actual threat, the government is increasing the level of political division, anger, partisan rage, all of which can have serious consequences and weakens our nation during this horrible health/economic crisis.

All in all, the Liberal government has prioritized the scoring of political points above everything else, ignoring the facts to try and demonize good law-abiding people.

While criminals win, the rest of us lose.
