Dave Chappelle makes no bones about it: he is a friend, fan and supporter of Kanye West through and through.

Musician, singer, rapper and producer West tweeted today that Chappelle is a "god send and a true friend" and he wishes him "all love" for hopping on an airplane and coming to visit him in person. The tweet appears with a photo of West, Chapelle and several others standing outside a log cabin at an undisclosed location.

Chappelle was quoted as saying "Brotherhood is real; love is real" in support of his long-time friend West, who recently announced that he would be running for the presidency in 2020, Newsweek reports.

West has been going through some apparently very tough times in his life lately, and his public has been baffled by a series of bizarre-seeming tweets by the artist and presidential hopeful, in which he criticized his wife, Kim Kardashian West, for trying to make him see a doctor.

"If I get locked up like Mandela... Ya'll will know why," West mentioned in one of the tweets.

It would appear West is currently at odds with Kardashian as well as with his mother in law, Kris Jenner. One of the tweets mentioned that West doesn’t want Jenner around his children at all.

The source of the frictions within the family aren’t perfectly clear, but some speculate that West’s very public pro-life stance is putting people in his immediate circle off. West publicly commented on the matter at a campaign rally two days ago in South Carolina, talking about how they almost aborted his daughter, North.

West maintains that while he was "out there" and wound up in the hospital once, he is not crazy.
