The comedian turned big tech influencer announced on Wednesday that he’d not be doing business in areas of America that mandate the COVID vaccine or other requirements such as masks.

"As long as I’m on a Covid kick this morning I should also mention that I have informed my agents I will not be touring my book in any theaters which require vaccine ID or masks. This will eliminate dozens of stops and cost me a bunch of money but I’m not playing this evil game," he remarked.

Dave Rubin isn’t the first high-profile figure to deny entertaining COVID restrictions on a speaking tour.

It was in August of last year that comedian Chrissie Mayr of Compound Media made the same promise to her fanbase. In light of the onset of vaccine mandates to be in public spaces in New York City, Mayr swore that she’d not perform in areas that obligated attendees demonstrate their COVID vaccination status.

Podcaster Joe Rogan recently canceled a sold-out show for Vancouver amidst the area’s demands for proof of COVID vaccination.

It was back in October of last year that video-sharing site Rumble acquired Dave Rubin’s social media venture Locals.com.

Dave Rubin previously traveled with Jordan Peterson several years ago, in what amounted to becoming an impactful tour that increased Peterson’s public reputation considerably. On Dr. Peterson's part he has become increasingly frustrated with the restrictive measures put in place by COVID.

Rubin in December announced his escape from California, and his move to "the free state of Florida" amidst a great flight of thousands of people seeking to live in a more relaxed area when it comes to pandemic measures.

Twitter previously policed Dave Rubin in the summer of 2021 for predicting that: people could get and spread COVID despite the vaccine, calling out the incoming federal mandates, as well as the onset of booster shots.
