Florida Governor Ron DeSantis came in second place behind Donald Trump in a CPAC straw poll Sunday gaging Republican support for an array of possible 2024 candidates.
Trump took the lead with 55 percent of the vote. DeSantis grabbed 21 percent of the vote, with South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem taking 4 percent.
Roughly seven in ten of those surveyed said they would like to see Trump run in 2024, with 15 percent saying they would not and 17 percent unsure if they would like him to run.
Ninety-five percent of those surveyed said they would like to see Trump's America First agenda continued as the GOP's party platform, with only three percent saying the party should change directions.
When asked who they would support for president in 2024 if Trump did not run, 43 percent threw their support for DeSantis, 11 percent choosing Noem and 8 percent choosing Donald Trump Jr. Former Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Sen. Ted Cruz tied at seven percent.
