Carmen Liu, who is marketing what is called the first "flattening and tucking underwear" commercially available, has been accused of child abuse after the product was marketed to boys as young as four.

The underwear have been designed to "flatten the side profile of the pelvic area," effectively hiding any evidence of male genitalia from people around the wearer.

According to the Daily Mail, Liu is also a biological male who identifies as a female, and a former ballet dancer who has now decided to branch out into the field of garments for people seeking to suppress and obfuscate their external sex characteristics, specifically for boys.

Medical professionals have warned against these pieces of clothing, as there is a danger of becoming permanently infertile due to their use. The garments put excessive pressure on the genital area in order to hide it from view.

The company not only has sizes for children, it openly markets to them. The company's website has a special "kids" section, accessible from the home page. Upon going to the section, one can read right away:

"Carmen Liu Kids is here for trans girls and non-binary children in their journey. We are the world’s first company (you heard!) to listen to the children that need us."

"Each product is here to provide children with the stepping stones to finding themselves, in a supportive, validating experience," continues the website without any mention of the potential risks or side-effects involved.

There is also an "activity pack" for sale, which includes: "An activity pack with a story. Filled with puzzles, colouring-in, learning and two personal letters from Carmen herself to the young person and their parent, guardian or supportive adult.

"Each step towards positive change needs to be small. One step at a time. Too much at one point can overwhelm. The CARMN LIU KIDS Activity Pack begins the emotional journey, whilst giving time to process each step feeling loved and validated.

"When ready for the next step forward, we are here to provide the stepping stone. The briefs and T-shirts are ready when needed." It includes a "tape measure (to measure for briefs)."
