Minnesota Congresswoman and outspoken radical member of "The Squad" Ilhan Omar (D-MN 5) drew fire from her Republican challenger Dalia al-Aqidi over an interview clip the Congresswoman tweeted out.

In the video, Omar called for Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to halt deportations and immigration court proceedings, as well as to stop ‘terrorizing’ communities, during the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
“Outrageous,” responded al-Aqidi, a Muslim and refugee herself. She pointed out Omar “has a hard time saying jihadists are terrorists, but she has no problem saying it about U.S. law enforcement and the brave Americans who control our borders.”
“Does @Ilhan hate America?” she asked.
Outrageous. She has a hard time saying jihadists are terrorists, but she has no problem saying it about US law enforcement and the brave Americans who control our borders. Does @Ilhan hate America? https://t.co/dE3C5auBX3

Al-Aquidi made headlines in recent months with a widely-shared campaign launch video, where she took an aggressive stand against what she called her opponent's divisiveness.
"I've seen up close the consequences of what radical Ilhan Omar is doing—conflict, division, oppression," the candidate says, "I escaped that world once, and I won't let it happen here."
In a second tweet, Dalia called the Congresswoman transparent in her extremest politics, saying: “the American people can see your priorities at this time of national crisis.”
You are, thankfully, so transparent—the American people can see your priorities at this time of national crisis. I just went to donate blood again FOR MY FELLOW AMERICAN CITIZENS. You couldn’t give a damn. How sad for this country. https://t.co/dE3C5auBX3

Back in January, Dalia told The Federalist she was running for Congress because she “believe[s] Ilhan Omar is doing irreparable harm to both Minnesota and to America—and she must be stopped.”

“I recognize her far-left politics from the Middle East that I was lucky to escape from,” the news anchor turned Congressional candidate added, referring to Omar’s anti-American discourse.
Dalia, who grew up in Iraq, came to the US as a refugee in 1993. Notably, Rep. Omar also came to the US as a refugee from the Middle East. Dalia contrasts herself from Omar, explaining she uses her life experience “to expose oppression and boost the US while Omar has done the opposite—stoking fear, inspiring hatred, inciting violence, and embarrassing America.”
