According to CP24, Ontario locations of Shoppers Drug Mart may start offering testing for the coronavirus province-wide.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford has stated that the province is currently talking to the popular drugstore chain this afternoon during an announcement he made from Queens Park.

“We’ve been discussing this for a little while now and we’ve reached out to Shoppers Drug Mart, the CEO of Loblaws that owns Shoppers as well, and they’re being very cooperative so I might as well come out and say it,” said Ford.

This measure is already in place to start in the province of Alberta, and includes in that province Shoppers Drug Marts as well as Real Canadian Superstores and Wholesale Club locations. As of yet, no potential dates for the Ontario roll-out of the service have been discussed.

One can hope that the purity and accuracy of these tests will be better than it unfortunately has been in the past, because the newer tests will be better sourced.
