Dr. Fauci now recommends vitamins despite Facebook previously banning people who did the same

This recommendation, although helpful, raised eyebrows online after Facebook censored any recommendations of vitamins in regard to COVID-19.

Dr. Anthony Fauci is the leading infectious-disease expert and is now recommending people take vitamins to strengthen immune systems.

While appearing on an Instagram Live interview with the actress Jennifer Garner, Fauci stated that he takes Vitamins himself.

"If you're deficient in vitamin D, that does have an impact on your susceptibility to infection. I would not mind recommending, and I do it myself, taking vitamin D supplements,"

He also continued to also recommend Vitamin C

"The other vitamin that people take is vitamin C because it's a good antioxidant, so if people want to take a gram or so of vitamin C, that would be fine."

This recommendation, although helpful, raised eyebrows online after Facebook censored any recommendations of vitamins in regard to COVID-19.

Back in March, Facebook released a statement regarding COVID and the spread of false information. It also went as far as praising W.H.O, the same organization that claimed there is no human-to-human transmission with COVID-19.

Nonetheless, Facebook banned countless posts that promoted Vitamin D and C, and yet now the vitamins are being promoted by the top doctor in the country. This has left many confused, and some a sense of vindication.

It remains to be seen whether Facebook will continue to ban posts promoting these vitamins or will stop doing so now that they are endorsed by Dr. Fauci.
