Bell’s ex-girlfriend Melissa Langafelt responded with a "told you so" message after news of his arrest broke. It was late last year Lingafelt had first accused him of both verbal and physical abuse.

Drake Bell of Drake & Josh fame had a last-minute change of heart and decided to plead guilty to charges brought against him in Cuyahoga County, Ohio.

At the time of his arrest earlier this month, the former Nickelodeon star plead not guilty. According to People, the Judge assigned to the case said, "My understanding is there's been a plea agreement reached where the defendant will plead guilty to count one attempted endangering children, a felony in the fourth degree [and] plead guilty to count two: disseminating matter harmful to juveniles, a misdemeanor the first degree."

"Do you understand if you plead guilty that is an admission by you that you did these crimes?" remarked the Judge. "Yes, Your Honor," responded Bell.

Bell faces up to two years in prison, depending on the outcome of a sentencing hearing scheduled next month, on July 12. There the victim will be able to read out a statement. It’s also where, according to Bell’s lawyer, the actor will explain to the court why he chose to change his mind and plead guilty.

Earlier this month FOX 8 uncovered Bell’s situation involved an "inappropriate chat" with an underaged victim back in December 2017.

The Associated Press elaborated that Drake Bell and the underaged girl in question had "developed a relationship online" for years beforehand. She was 15-years-old at the time and met Drake at a concert venue in Cleveland, Ohio. "Bell violated his duty of care and, in doing so, created a risk of harm to the victim," according to the prosecution.

Previous reporting said Bell deleted a pertinent tweet establishing the venue he was at in Cleveland the year of his offense.

The female victim was Canadian and didn’t report it to the police until October 2018. But after doing so, authorities there contacted the United States to open up an investigation.
