The US Marshals Service says that they have found eight missing children as part of "Operation Homecoming." Law enforcement located the missing children between the dates of August 31 and September 4 during an emergency operation in and around Indianapolis, Indiana.

The children, who are between the ages of six and 17 years old, have been handed over to the Indiana Department of Child Services. Officers were given case files with names of schools, past addresses, friends residences and last known locations.

US Marshals Service says the children who were recovered are "considered to be some of the most at-risk and challenging recovery cases in the area, based on indications of high-risk factors such as victimization of child sex trafficking, child exploitation, sex abuse, physical abuse and medical or mental health conditions."

The operation also resulted in one arrest of an adult under charges related to parental kidnapping, intimidation, weapons possession and custodial interference.

This comes after last week's announcement from the Marshals that said they had found around 39 missing children during a two-week rescue operation in Georgia.

Director of the US Marshals, Donald Washington released a statement: “The message to missing children and their families is that we will never stop looking for you.”
