NBC pundit Mehdi Hasan went on his Sunday evening show to complain about Elon Musk being the new owner of the Twitter social media network, claiming that Musk plans to use it as a tool for the "far-right."
Musk responded to the unhinged rant, saying that NBC should perhaps take a look at their own misdeeds before launching rhetorical warfare at him. Musk pointed out that NBC "covered up" the Hunter Biden laptop story, which brought evidence of Biden family influence peddling via the son's shady overseas business deals.
Same org that covered up Hunter Biden laptop story, had Harvey Weinstein story early & killed it & built Matt Lauer his rape office. Lovely people.

He also brought up the revelations that emerged during the Me Too era in which it was discovered that former host on the network, Matt Lauer, had a button under his desk to lock his office door and had used it to lock women in that office alone with him.
NBC had also covered up the allegations against now-jailed movie executive Harvey Weinstein, who behaved as though the "casting couch" were industry standard.
Yet for NBC host Hasan, Musk, a free speech absolutist who promised transparency on the platform, is the real problem.
"It's easy in American discourse to talk simplistically about the far-left and the far-right as two equally dangerous fringe blocks. Elon Musk has done it plenty of times, just in the past week," Hasan said.
"But, here's the difference: America's far-left wants to give us free healthcare and free childcare. America's far-right wants to give us white supremacy and no democracy," continued Hasan, continuing the tradition of ignoring the fact that, for example, Donald Trump himself has denounced white supremacy on multiple occasions.
"And, this asymmetrical polarization of US politics would be laughable if it weren't so horrifying," continued Hasan in the same vein.
"We are living through an unspeakably dangerous moment. The pro-QAnon, pro Neo-Nazi faction of the Republican body [sic] poised to expand dramatically come the midterms," stated Hasan, indicated that his opinion is that only people right of center engage in wild conspiracy theories.
"We're just two years away from Donald Trump very possibly re-seizing executive power. If that happens, we may look back on this past week as a pivotal moment, when a petulant and not-so-bright billionaire casually bought one of the world's most influential messaging machines, and just handed it to the far-right," was Hasan's conclusion, depiste, once again, no evidence being available or shown of Trump having anything to do with any sort of white-supremacist movement, much less Musk.
"Same org that covered up Hunter Biden laptop story, had Harvey Weinstein story early and killed it and built Matt Lauer his rape office. Lovely people," Musk said in reply.
